- Fixed a bug where Partials loaded with the Sample Auto Load feature didn't sound.
- Fixed a bug where the display didn't update when the Common Split screen of a Multi-Partial Patch was changed by a System Exclusive message.
Known issue: updating may fail with some SmartMedia cards. If it does, update again using the SMF (MIDI file) version, or with a SmartMedia card known to work. Roland never identified which cards are affected, so it recommends updating with SMF files. Cards that can't be used for updating work normally for everyday use.

- Fixed a level-conversion bug that could make the volume very low when loading Akai S1000/3000 CD-ROMs.
- Fixed a bug where Patch or Rhythm Set numbers above 128 on SRX expansion boards couldn't be read. (When Roland wrote these notes in September 2001, no SRX board had more than 128; several later ones do.)
