Patch Parameters--Portamento Start Pitch Set to "NOTE"
(XP-80 Owner's Manual, pg. 48. Copyright 1996, Roland Corp.). This graph shows pitch over time when the Portamento Start parameter is set to "NOTE". In the graph, C4 is pressed first. Next, C5 is pressed making the Patch's pitch move toward C5. Before the pitch reaches C5, D4 is pressed. Because the Portamento Start pitch is set to "NOTE," the pitch immediately jumps to C5 (the last key pressed before D4) and begins its descent toward D4.
